Joy Camp – Faith and Friendship for the Orthodox Youth
3rd Edition

With the blessing of His Eminence Atanasie the Romanian Orthodox Archbishop of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,the ‘Myrrh Bearing Women’ Parish in Aylesbury, in partnership with the Youth Department of the Archdiocese and the Association of Romanian Orthodox Christian Students (ASCOR) – Iași branch, will organize the 3rd edition of the Joy Camp, dedicated to children and teenagers aged 3 to 18, between 5–7 September 2025.
The event will take place at SS Peter and Paul Church, Upton Road, Dinton, Aylesbury, HP17 8UG, aiming to offer participants a living experience of the Orthodox faith, within a recreational and educational setting.
The camp program will include prayers, participation in the Divine Liturgy, sports and recreational activities, creative workshops and icon-painting sessions, movie nights, spiritual storytelling, campfire gatherings, traditional folk dances, and many other joyful and community-building activities. The activities will be coordinated by a group of student volunteers from ASCOR Iași, experienced in organizing Orthodox youth camps.
The camp will be held during the day only (no overnight stay), with a recommended contribution of £75 per child to cover organizational costs.
Through this initiative, the ‘Myrrh Bearing Women’ Paris in Aylesbury, together with the Youth Department of the Archdiocese and ASCOR Iași, seeks to provide children and teenagers with a safe space for spiritual growth, education, and friendship, nurtured by the values of the Orthodox faith.
